1996 IGRA Finals Rodeo Grand Marshall - Connie Lee

OCR Transcript by Frank Harrell, March 24, 2013

It is only fitting that IGRA's 1st decade of "Competition for the International Championship" title in each of the rodeo events, be topped off with a salute to a true "Champion of the International Gay Rodeo" circuit.

The 1996 IGRA Convention Delegates bestowed the honor of Grand Marshall on Connie Lee, Corporate Manager of the Miller Brewing Companies International Gay Rodeo Association sponsorship.

Connie has been IGRA's Champion for the past three years in creating workable solutions and meticulous management of the IGRA/Miller Lite sponsorship. She created the current IGRA Insurance Program, negotiated our new three year sponsorship program and was instrumental in the development of the Canadian Rodeo sponsorship program with Molson.

If you needed help any time, day or night, Connie was only a phone call away. If she didn't have the answer, it didn't take her long to work a solution.

Recognizing her professionalism, constant support and friendship, IGRA is proud to honor Connie Lee as the Grand Marshall of the lOth IGRA Finals Rodeo and call her our friend!

A Personal Note From Connie Lee

Congratulations to the IGRA on your lOth Annual Finals Rodeo. Through my association with Miller Brewing Company, I have had the opportunity to become involved with the IGRA and several other Gay organizations which Miller sponsors. Through these associations, I have learned first hand the challenges and opportunities the Gay Community faces. This lesson has helped me to understand the great need for sensitivity toward all people and all groups. I have developed a great deal of respect and appreciation for your mission and what you do. I am honored to play a role and part of the activity. Your kindness and support through my own personal challenges, has been overwhelming, and I appreciate your warmth and friendship. I wish you continued success in the future.

In Memory

Proceeds from the 1Oth IGRA Finals Rodeo will be donated to the New Mexico Community AIDS Partnership to benefit NM AIDS charities.
