1996 Rodeo Director

OCR Transcript by Frank Harrell, Apr 12, 2013

Welcome to Montana,

It is with great pride that I welcome you to Billings for the 1st Annual Big Sky Regional Rodeo and 3rd Annual Gay Pride Festival. We have worked long and hard to present a weekend you will remember in Big Sky Country.

I would like to thank the small group of dedicated B.S.G.R.A. members who have worked tirelessly to ensure that this dream came true. You are all great people to work with and none of this could have happened without you.

Montana has a long history of rodeo and we intend to add our own chapter of Gay Rodeo in that history. We thank you for joining in our goal to write that chapter.

So, relax, unwind and enjoy the splendor of Montana.

Sincerely, Ron Seibel, Rodeo Director

1995-1996 Mr. B.S.G.R.A.

OCR Transcript by Frank Harrell, Apr 12, 2013

Ted Kary

Welcome contestants, fans, friends, and family. Well here it is, a dream come true our 1st Annual Rodeo. As founding Vice President of B.S.G.R.A. in 1988 this has been my goal, to be a major part of our first rodeo. Its 8 years later and proof positive that dreams do come true. As past reigning Mr. Wrangle Montana, and current reigning Mr. B.S.G.R.A., gay rodeo has been a very important part of my life. It has given me the chance to meet some very wonderful friends and given me the opportunity to be a big part of the gay community in which I live.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone and wish everybody good luck. I would also like to thank everybody for their support and say that "Royalty" in an association is a large part of gay rodeo. It should be taken as an "Honor" to be a title holder, to know that your association looks to you as their major spokesperson. So please don't take these titles lightly. On that note I will close, continued success to every gay rodeo association, and thank you all for your support, always remember reach for the stars and believe in your dreams, because they do come true.

God Bless
Ted Kary, Mr. B.S.G.R.A. 95-96
